How to deal with having a non curable disease

One thing that can be very hard is the emotions that come with having a non curable disease. When you get sick you pray all the time for a diagnosis, to just know what is wrong so that you can get better.
Then you get the diagnosis and the doctor tells you there is no cure. At first it is just shocking to think that you are going to be sick for ever.

These are some emotions you may feel.

Sadness: You can be sad about the fact this is going to live like this for ever, that you will be limited for the rest of you life.

Anger: You get angry at the medical proffesionals have no cure. With all the advancements you expect they can fix you. When they can't it can be hard and make you angry

Grief: You grieve the things you have to give up and the things you will never do.

Eventually you feel acceptance- hopefully. It is hard to know you don't have a cure and you may feel these emotions many times.

To patients going through this- there are many who understand. ((Hugs))
