Dear Chronic Illness, 

You may take my body’s health.

You may prevent me from playing competitive sports.

You may hinder my education.

You may take my perfect grades.

You may take my ability to live a “normal” life.

You may force me to grow up sooner.

You may present yourself as a daily obstacle.

However, let me make something perfectly clear.

You will not take away my ambition.

You will not take away my resolve.

You will not take away my spirit.

You will not take away my earnest will to live.
